HOME CREDENTIALS
Lights FC season-long media credentials are issued to recognized newspapers, magazines, digital affiliates, television and established radio stations making reasonable requests. Consistent and ongoing coverage of the club and commitment to full-season coverage is considered when evaluating credential type. As a general policy, the club does not grant freelance photographers access unless assigned to shoot for a specific story or project. Special requests can be submitted to a member of Lights FC and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Single-match home game credentials are available and while season credentials are also issued, there is a match-by-match RSVP process required for individuals planning to access the match with their full-season credentials. More information is below under “Match Attendance: Credentials”
ROAD CREDENTIALS
Media members traveling to road games should submit requests for credentials to the Lights FC Communications Department no later than five (5) business days prior to the road game.
DURING THE WEEK
Weekly Match Preview Access:
During the regular season, post-training, a virtual media availability is slated weekly, generally on Wednesdays at approximately 12:30 p.m. PT featuring the head coach and one-two players. Soundbites are distributed afterwards. Media members seeking information on joining and participating in the weekly media availability virtually are asked to contact Lights FC Communications.
Interviews:
Interviews that require advance preparations or special accommodations by a Lights FC player or staff member should be made by calling or emailing the Lights FC Communications Department.
MATCH ATTENDANCE: CREDENTIALS
Ahead of each match, media members are asked to take action, regardless of whether they are full-season credentialed individuals or single-match credential bearers/applicants.
FULL-SEASON CREDENTIAL APPLICATION: For a limited window, media members may request a full-season credential via this online form. Approved full season credentials require a match-by-match RSVP via the full-season credentialed media member RSVP form.

FULL-SEASON CREDENTIALED MEDIA MEMBERS RSVP: All media members who have previously been issued full-season credentials and wish to attend a match must RSVP 48 hours prior to the match they wish to attend via this online form.
OR
SINGLE-MATCH MEDIA CREDENTIALS: All single-match credential applications for media members on assignment must be completed 48 hours prior to the match they wish to attend via this online form.
Media members will receive an email prior to matchday confirming their credential request. Upon approval, single-match credentials may be picked up at Media Will Call located at Cashman Field’s Press Gate Entrance. Media Will Call opens two hours before the start of the match.
Credentials MUST be visible and worn at all times. Lost credentials must be reported immediately to Lights FC Communications.
2024 MATCHDAY MEDIA PARKING, ENTRANCE INSTRUCTIONS AND PASSES
Parking for media members covering Lights matches at Cashman Field is located in Lot C.
Cashman Field credentials are NOT valid for parking entry. Members of the media who request a parking pass when applying for a credential (single match) or via a match RSVP (full-season credential) will be granted access to Lot C.
MEDIA WILL CALL, ENTERING CASHMAN FIELD
Media members will full season credentials that have completed the RSVP form will enter the venue at Media Will Call for check-in. Approved single-match credentials may also be picked up at Will Call.
After parking, Media Members should proceed to the stadium’s Press Gate entrance for Lights Media Will Call. All photographers, local TV camera crews, print and digital media members with press box access must enter this season, every match, through the Press Gate.
Photographers and local TV broadcasters with photo zones access can access the press box work area via ramps and elevator on the main concourse. A member of the Lights staff will distribute all photo vests upon arrival at the Press Gate.
All members of the media that have sent credential RSVP emails and received confirmation can pick up their credentials at Media Will Call.
CONDUCT
Media members are reminded to dress professionally and are asked not to wear gear of either club participating in the match or competing sponsors with local or League affiliates. This pertains to photo zone products such as water bottles.
Any unauthorized use or violation of a credential (including, without limitation, cheering in media work areas, misuse of credential access zones, requesting autographs, taking non-work related photographs, or making any other personal use of a credential or the stadium access conferred by a credential) can result in the revocation of said access.
PRESS BOX PHOTO WORK AREA, PHOTO BIBS/VESTS AND FIELD ACCESS
Photo work room: Seating for photo work at Cashman Field will be available for a select number of photographers/videographers. A press meal will be provided in the dining area of Club Level Restaurant.
Photo credential indicator: In addition to their credential, it is required that photographers and camera crews obtain and wear a colored bib/vest or wristband, making them easy to identify. Videographers and photographers will be given a media indicator (bib/vest/wristband) bib by a Lights staff member.
A photo ID will be required to check out a photo bib from Media Will Call. Following the match, photographers and videographers must return their bibs to the staffer or bin at Media Will Call on the way out of the building.
Photo field access: Photographers and videographers are permitted to shoot the game action behind the field boards along each endline. Staff will be available to assist with any questions that may arise.
Unless prior approval has been granted by a member of Lights Communications, photographs and video are only permitted to be taken from field level.
Once situated, no movement between the two halves of the field shall be permitted until halftime. No photographers shall be allowed to move from end to end on the bench side of the field.
Pre-match live shots for news outlets: Media Will Call opens two hours prior to the match for media entrance. Members of the news media looking to do a live hit right at the two-hour mark should reach out to a member of Lights Communications to coordinate entrance. However, any news live shots before the two-hour mark will take place outside of the stadium. Live shots after media will call opens (two hours prior to kick) and up until 15 minutes before the listed start time may take place on the photo end line unless other locations have been previously arranged with Lights Communications. No live shots may take place in the stadium during match action.
MEDIA AVAILABILITY / LIVE VIDEO POLICY / VIDEO POLICY FOR SHOOTING HIGHLIGHTS
Post-Match Press Availability: Lights FC Head Coach Dennis Sanchez will be available on the photo end line on the first base side of Cashman Field following the match. All credentialed members of the media are permitted to record the video conference. Lights players will be available in-person at the same location for accredited media members for post-match interviews. Interviews with the opposing team must be coordinated with the visiting team’s communications staff.
In-Match: During match action, only club personnel and broadcast rights-holders may transmit live video footage from anywhere within Cashman Field.
At the photo endlines behind each goal, non-rights-holders may record the match for editorial highlights, but at no point during match action may they transmit live/streaming video footage including video for television and/or mobile and web-based programs. The photo end lines are the only approved area for shooting match highlights unless otherwise arranged with Lights communications.
All transmissions of live video for TV stand-ups pre/post-match in designated media access zones must be pre-arranged and facilitated by a member of Lights Communications.
Compliance: All members of the media with approved credentials covering Lights games at Cashman Field, attending club training session or in media access zones are in agreement with said cell phone and recorded/live video policies and are subject to all other stated rules and regulations. Violations of any policy may be grounds for immediate revocation of the credential and removal from the premises.
