The Las Vegas Lights FC name derived from a fan vote after thousands of suggested names were submitted by fans in the Summer of 2017. Fans were also able to vote on if the club would be considered a Soccer Club (SC), Fútbol Club (FC), or Football Club (FC). After narrowing the list down to six names — Club Vegas, Las Vegas FC, Viva Vegas, Las Vegas Action, Las Vegas Silver, and Las Vegas Lights FC, the fans voted with “Las Vegas Lights” being deemed the winner.
Once the name was finalized, fans submitted design inspiration ideas & concepts for the logo which is designed in the shape of the famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign and features neon tubing font. The team colors (light blue, yellow & pink) were used due to their being the official colors of the City of Las Vegas.
