Vegas’ professional soccer team will play the final games at the historic venue this year, culminating in the last-ever professional sports game at Cashman on October 17
Las Vegas Lights FC today announced the club’s Farewell to Cashman Field campaign as the historic venue finishes its final professional sports season this year.
The Lights have six regular season home games remaining in the 2026 season. The final game at Cashman Field is set for Saturday, October 17 for Farewell to Cashman Night against Lexington SC.
“As Las Vegas has become an internationally recognized sports city, it is important to remember and celebrate the significance of Cashman to our city’s history of professional sports culture,” said Las Vegas Lights FC Owner Jose Bautista. “Cashman Field has served as a great home for the Lights since 2018, and we look forward to welcoming fans to the stadium for a final celebration of this historic venue. We are continuing to build the best professional soccer team for Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, and I am excited about our next step in 2027 and beyond.”
In late 2024, the City of Las Vegas put the Cashman Complex up for auction. In early 2025, homebuilder company Lennar submitted the highest bid, which was unanimously approved by the Las Vegas City Council in March 2025.
The sale officially signaled the end for Cashman Field once the Lights’ pre-existing lease expires at the conclusion of the 2026 season.
As part of the campaign, Las Vegas Lights FC has launched a Farewell to Cashman Mini Plan. Starting at only $45 for the full package, fans can select three games from the remaining schedule and receive the final-ever game at Cashman Field on October 17 for free.

The History of Cashman Field
Las Vegas Lights FC has played at Cashman Field since the club’s launch in 2018, when the team shared the venue with the Las Vegas 51s. After the 51s moved to Summerlin to become the Aviators, the Lights became the sole tenant of the historic stadium.
After MLB legend Jose Bautista acquired the club ahead of the 2024 season, a Premium Deck was installed in the former outfield along with infrastructure upgrades to further enhance the venue as a soccer-specific stadium for its final era.
Prior to professional soccer arriving at Cashman, the venue served as the long-time home of Triple A baseball in Las Vegas, first for the Las Vegas Stars from 1983-2000 and then the Las Vegas 51s from 2001-2018.
During this era, Cashman hosted three consecutive Triple A World Series in the late 1990s and two separate MLB exhibitions, including a White Sox-Cubs game in 1993 that set an attendance record of 15,000+ fans.
Prior to the modern Cashman Field built in 1983, the original Cashman Field was a wooden structure on the same site. This era of Cashman hosted its first game in May 1948 and featured events like the Las Vegas Wranglers, the Helldorado Rodeo, and even a 1955 heavyweight title fight.
