Las Vegas Lights FC today announced the club’s full technical staff ahead of the 2026 season under the leadership of Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia and Head Coach Devin Rensing.
Rensing’s coaching staff will feature newcomers Gerson Echeverry and Liviu Bird as Assistant Coaches and returner Maximiliano Jose Rabinovich as Goalkeeper Coach.
Echeverry brings previous Lights experience after serving as an assistant on Dennis Sanchez’s staff in 2024. He spent the 2025 season with El Paso Locomotive FC, where he worked as an assistant coach under Wilmer Cabrera. Echeverry also has head coaching experience with RGV Toros, where he led the club for three years from 2017 to 2020.
Bird joins the Lights after spending 2025 with Oakland Roots SC, where he worked as an assistant coach under Benny Feilhaber. Previously, he worked as an assistant at Pacific Lutheran University and as a performance video analyst at Columbus Crew during their MLS Cup-clinching 2020 season.
Former Assistant Coach Giovanni Troise will not return to the Lights for the 2026 season.
Additionally, the club’s backroom staff features consistency from the 2025 campaign.
Estefani de Santiago returns as Athletic Trainer with two years of experience with the club. Eduardo Gutierrez will reprise his role as Physical Therapist after joining ahead of 2025, and Chris Drost also returns as Nutritionist and Conditioning Coordinator for his second year with the Lights.
