The 28-year-old Chelsea FC Academy graduate and former USL Championship stalwart joins the Lights

Las Vegas Lights FC today announced the club has acquired midfielder Kyle Scott from EFL League Two club Crawley Town FC for an undisclosed fee, pending league and federation approval.
Scott is under contract with the Lights through the 2028 season.
Born in Bath, England, Scott was a key player for fellow USL Championship side Orange County from 2022 to 2025, racking up 81 appearances across three seasons and helping the team reach the Western Conference semifinals in 2023 with crucial contributions in midfield.
“We are excited to welcome Kyle to the Lights, a player who knows the league very well and has excelled in it,” said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “He’s a complete midfielder with great composure, accurate passing, and important versatility in different midfield roles. We look forward to his veteran presence anchoring the midfield in Head Coach Devin Rensing’s system in 2026 and beyond.”
A product of the prestigious Chelsea FC Academy at Cobham, which he joined in 2007, Scott won three FA Youth Cups and two UEFA Youth League trophies with The Blues, playing alongside future stars such as Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, and Dominic Solanke.
Scott made his professional debut with the Chelsea first team on February 16, 2018, coming on as a substitute in a 4-0 victory over Hull City for the fifth round of the FA Cup.
He then joined Dutch second division side SC Telstar on loan for the 2018-2019 season, making 14 appearances and scoring two goals. The following year, he moved on from Chelsea to join Newcastle United’s under-21 team, where he’d make 17 appearances and contribute with one assist.
Scott hopped over the pond for the first time in 2021, joining MLS side FC Cincinnati, tallying four appearances for The Orange and Blue.
In 2022, Kyle Scott signed for USL Championship club Orange County SC. In his three-year stint with the Californian club, he made 81 appearances, scoring twice and tallying seven assists. He was a key player in their 2023 USL Championship campaign, helping the team reach the Western Conference semifinals, where they’d lose against future champions Phoenix Rising.
In 2025, Scott joined EFL League Two club Crawley Town FC, where he made nine appearances as a central midfielder.
Scott also has experience on the international stage, having played for England at the U-16 level, Republic of Ireland at the U-17 level, and the United States U-18s and U-20s.
