Themi Antonoglou, Christian Pinzon, Triston Henry, and Giorgio Probo all earned Team of the Week honors after two matches in Week 31
Las Vegas Lights FC forward Christian Pinzon, defender Themi Antonoglou, goalkeeper Triston Henry, and midfielder Giorgio Probo were named to the USL Championship Team of the Week for Week 31 on Tuesday morning.
The Lights played two matches during Week 31. First, the team took a hard-fought 3-2 loss on the road at Sacramento Republic FC on Wednesday before securing a crucial 1-0 home win over San Antonio FC on Saturday.
Pinzon put in a phenomenal individual performance in the loss at Sacramento Republic FC, showcasing his playmaking ability with two assists.
Antonoglou returned to the starting lineup in the win against San Antonio FC, creating three chances, making six defensive contributions, and winning four ground duels. His defensive performance helped the team pitch a vital shutout in the victory.
Henry made four saves against San Antonio FC to secure that clean sheet and help the team earn three valuable points at home.
Probo put on another midfield masterclass in both matches. Most notably, he generated the chance that led to Manuel Arteaga’s match-winning goal against San Antonio FC, which was not officially credited as an assist due to the ball rebounding off the goalkeeper after Arteaga’s first attempt was saved.
Henry and Probo’s performances earned them spots on the Team of the Week bench.
Las Vegas Lights FC will travel to Arizona to face Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday, October 10. The team then returns to Cashman Field on Saturday, October 17 to play against Lexington SC for Farewell to Cashman Night. Tickets are available now at lasvegaslightsfc.com/tickets.
