The Lights fell to a second half goal in Colorado Springs on Saturday night.

Las Vegas Lights FC lost 1-0 on the road at Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday night.
After Colorado struck the crossbar in the first half, they were rewarded for their efforts in the second after Jonas Fjeldberg ghosted behind Lights defender Gennaro Nigro to bundle home a cross on the back post.
Despite multiple attacking substitutions late in the half, Las Vegas was unable to generate enough momentum to score an equalizer and fell by a 1-0 scoreline.
What They’re Saying
HEAD COACH DEVIN RENSING
On his overall thoughts on the match…
“Listen, we battled. They played tough all the way through. It’s a tough place to play. Give credit to Colorado, they got some shots and crosses and made it difficult for us.
A little bit the story of the year for us. I thought we were in it and had some moments. We could have done a little bit better in the attacking third, but that’s been our season.”
On the changes in the starting XI, such as Jack Singer, Nicholas Ammeter, and Turner Humphrey…
“It’s difficult for me because I didn’t have much time with the guys and get a chance to see what they can do in the game.
These guys have been working hard all year, so they deserve an opportunity, and I wanted to give them an opportunity. They all did well in their positions, so I give credit to them. I’m happy for those guys that they got some much-needed minutes.”
On the upcoming Monterey Bay match…
“Listen, we just have to go out and prepare for them like we always do. We need to have a strong week of training, and hopefully we go get a result out there.”
