The Lights also send an undisclosed fee to Birmingham with further details to follow

LAS VEGAS (Saturday, July 26, 2025) – Las Vegas Lights FC today announced that the club has acquired the rights to midfielder Kobe Hernandez-Foster from Birmingham Legion FC. In the transaction, Birmingham receives defender Maliek Howell and an undisclosed fee.
Further details will follow regarding the transaction.
Howell originally joined the Lights just before the 2024 season after finishing his NCAA career with Missouri State and Memphis. The Jamaican center back made 48 appearances for Las Vegas across all competitions.
“I want to thank Maliek for his contributions with the Lights as he helped us reach the Western Conference Final in 2024, and we wish him the best in his next opportunity,” said Sporting Director Gianleonardo Neglia. “This move sets us up for a corresponding deal to follow in the near future.”
