Danny Trejo Named 2022 “Hardest Working Player of the Year” Presented by LiUNA 872 Laborers
Led Lights FC with 14 Goals — Also Third Highest Assist Total;

October 24, 2022 (Las Vegas, NV) — As part of Las Vegas Lights FC’s long-standing partnership with LiUNA 872 Laborers Union the Club has renamed its annual player of the year award to the “Hardest Working Player of the Year Presented by LiUNA 872 Laborers Union” to highlight and honor the hardworking men & women that built our city & have kept it growing through good times & tough times.
With the 2022 season now closed, after seeing Las Vegas Lights FC complete its most successful season in Club history with its most total points & wins in its five years of existence, it has named Danny Trejo as the recipient of this year’s award.
Trejo, a dynamic playmaker playing in his second season for Lights FC, led the locker room in goals scored with 14. He was also third in total assists. All this despite being sidelined with an injury during a several week span during the busy summer months. A native of California, his play on the field for the Lights has already resulted in him receiving a playing contract with Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles FC.
