LAS VEGAS, NV – Lights FC players will hold a free clinic for kids ages 5-12 before Las Vegas faces Orange County FC in the third round of the US Open Cup.
All kids ages 5 through 12 attending Lights FC’s US Open Cup match on Wednesday, May 29 at Cashman Field will have the opportunity to be a part of the FREE ‘As Easy As ABC Clinic’ presented by ABC Hyundai.
“The kids, that’s what it’s all about,” said Lights FC defender Kevin Garcia Lopez. “I’ve been working with kids since I was in college at UCSB (University of California – Santa Barbara), where we did a lot of community outreach work. Being a part of events like these here in Las Vegas is natural for me.”
Lights FC players will lead the activities on the pitch, leading the children through drills where they’ll teach them what it takes to be a professional soccer player. Over 150 kids took part of the first As Easy As ABC Clinic held before Las Vegas defeated Cal FC in the second round of the US Open Cup.
“Getting to be involved with the kids, being a positive impact in their lives, it’s something great for us to do,” stated Lights FC defender Eric Gonzalez. “We’re able to give back to them with these clinics, training them and giving them advice. It’s the best thing we can do as professional athletes”.
Check-in for the As Easy As ABC Clinic will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Cashman Field’s Zappos Gate, with the clinic scheduled to take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets for Lights FC’s third round US Open Cup match against Orange County FC are priced at only $10 and can be purchased at LightsFC.com/OpenCup and at the box office the day of the game. Additionally, every La Bonita Supermarket in Las Vegas has tickets on sale with the best prices in town for every Lights FC game.
