As students in the Las Vegas valley prepare for the 2018-19 school year to begin this fall, Las Vegas Lights FC and Boston Dental Group are teaming up to make sure every child is as prepared as possible.
The two entities are joining together for a Back To School giveaway promotion, supporting the After School All-Stars school supply drive. After School All-Stars serves 6,000-plus kids between Kindergarten and 8th Grade at 17 Clark County public schools.
Up until the start of school in Clark County on August 13, patients who bring in unopened school supplies to their scheduled appointments at any of 18 Boston Dental Group locations will receive a free oral cancer screening, and also will be entered to win a Lights FC prize pack.

Lights FC’s next home match – Saturday, Aug. 4, at 8 p.m. at Cashman Field vs. Rio Grande Valley FC Toros – will double as the club’s Back To School Bash. Among the night’s several promotions will be free Lights FC backpacks, presented by Boston Dental Group, for the first 2,000 kids 12 and under to enter the stadium. “We are extremely excited to work together with Las Vegas Lights FC to help support After-School All-Stars of Las Vegas,” said David Ting, CEO of Boston Dental Group. “Education and development is extremely important to our community, and we appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this great initiative.”
“We are so grateful to the Las Vegas Lights Football Club and Boston Dental Group for considering the students of After School All-Stars for this school supply drive,” said Jodi Manzella, Executive Director of After School All-Stars Las Vegas. “The cost of school supplies adds up quickly, and for many of the families we serve, they simply are not affordable. Giving the deserving students of After School All-Stars new supplies not only eases the financial burden on the parents, but it gives the students a proud and positive way to begin the new school year. On behalf of the 6,500 students enrolled in the program throughout Clark County, we send our profound thanks and appreciation to both the Boston Dental Group and our hometown Las Vegas Lights Football Club.”
