Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and D.C. United to visit Las Vegas for matches on consecutive weekends in February 2018.

One of Las Vegas Lights FC’s core messages from the club’s conception was the promise to aggressively bring big-time professional soccer to Downtown Las Vegas. The fulfillment of that promise will now begin with the first time Lights FC takes the pitch.

Lights FC’s first three games at Cashman Field in February 2018 will form the inaugural Soccer Spring Training. It will be a trio of exhibition showdowns with visiting Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs, as Lights FC prepares for its first season in the United Soccer League (USL), beginning in March 2018. Tickets to the Soccer Spring Training matches are included in all Lights FC season ticket packages. For groups of 10 or more, single-game tickets for Soccer Spring Training matches are now available and starting at $18 per ticket. Call 702.728.GOAL for group purchases and more information.

The Soccer Spring Training Schedule for Lights FC is as follows:

-          Saturday, February 10, 8 p.m. PT – Lights FC vs. Montreal Impact

-          Saturday, February 17, 8 p.m. PT – Lights FC vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC

-          Saturday, February 24, 8 p.m. PT – Lights FC vs. D.C. United

“We made a clear commitment to bringing elite-level professional soccer to Downtown Las Vegas, and I am proud to announce that Lights FC will come out of the gates in February by doing just that,” said Brett Lashbrook, CEO & team owner of Lights FC. “We want the first Soccer Spring Training to be just the start of an annual tradition. We want it to grow, and be something that fans in Las Vegas can expect to see at the beginning of every season moving forward – We want Las Vegas to become the home of MLS preseason soccer, and this initial schedule sends that message loud and clear.”

“We are going to play a much more aggressive and entertaining style of soccer than most fans are accustomed to, and testing ourselves against three MLS clubs to start the season will be valuable for my team,” Lights FC head coach José Luis Sanchez Solá – ‘Chelís’ – said. “The only way to improve is to test yourself against the best competition available. These MLS clubs will also get a true taste of what Lights FC soccer is going to be all about, and they will taste it on our turf.

“We are working very hard right now to build a strong roster to match our vision for this club, and when we take the pitch, we will need all of our fans there at Cashman Field to help us bring out our best.”
